La Playa Inn Santa Barbara

It was brand-new, beautifully maintained and with a patio.

it is an absolutely gorgeous and perfect property located in west beach district right by shopping street, restaurants, the beach and the wharf and the many shops, restaurants, cafes, and bars. the breakfast is free of charge with bottled water available and the location is gorgeous.

The venue's position was very central.

Liked climate control, a private safe and multi-channel TV in the room. Its location around 10-15 minutes walk from Waterfront was handy. Plus, it was near harbour, the beach and State Street.

I liked the fact that it was close to the beach and that it was a double room.

upon arrival, the negativity started with the management/owners. I arrived with a convoy and we were going to leave as soon as I checked in. the lady behind the desk kept telling me they could not park in the lot, i explained we were all going to leave as soon as I registered. but she was relentless. So I had to ask my Family to leave their parking lot. then she saw that there were 7 people coming out of my suv. she kept saying the room was only for 4, i showed her the Days In Guide sheet that said that if there are no additions to the room it was only $5 more per person. after bickering for a while on that she then kept persisting that another car in the parking lot was mine, this after 20 min of trying to get my check-in complete so I can leave, I was upset and I told her "look thats not my car, I don't care about that car, call the tow truck and get it the hell out of the parking lot." after finally being done we were told that they wanted no noise whatsoever. as far as the room goes the shower was designed for a person no taller than 4 ft 10 in tall. and their internet wifi did not work. their attitude was a complete 180 the next morning while they gave us our free breakfast, nothing warm besides coffee. and I am sure someone heard that I was gong to leave a bad review because that was all I kept saying the day prior.

Clean room with comfortable beds. Cot provided for baby when requested

Lock on door broke so we were locked in the room but was quickly opened when front desk was advised. Lock was quickly fixed while we were out so didn't cause us any problems. Breakfast had a small selection.

The rooms with 3 beds. Comfy and brilliant location, walking distance to everywhere.

The lady at the desk was so welcoming and helpful, taking the time to show us where everything was on a map of Santa Barbara and offering us drinks to take with us when we left. The room itself was basic but comfortable. The bathroom was a bit tired but spotlessly clean. No complaints apart from the fact the jacuzzi was was right outside our window, which seemed to be almost permanently colonised by a noisy group of guests! The hotel is in a really good location for exploring SB. We did feel it was on the pricey side for what it was, but we know SB is generally quite dear.

Breakfast was almost laughably terrible - prepacked pastries that were really bad (think sub-economy plane croissants etc). Not really a deal-breaker :)

Location is perfect, very close to the beach, and close to 101 highway. 前台女老板是华人,印尼籍.

Free breakfast is good yet could be improved; the hairdryer is dirty, seems not being used for a long time.

Great for budget-conscious couples

Great location right by the harbor, and the bed was super comfy. Plus, they had EV charging spots in the parking, which was a unexpected win for us.

Yeah, it wasn't exactly a bargain but still decent for what you get.

The website said there was a pool and there wasn't.

The beds were extremely comfortable. We had three bedrooms linked together and all were very clean and tidy.

The breakfast was very poor with no seating area or facilities.

Great beach access and clean room, but Wi-Fi was a bit slow.

Not enough water comes from shower head. Old bath.

It says breakfast!! When you see this word you said to yourself, ok, I have my breakfast here then go to the meeting. But, when you look for it they show you some snacks exactly you just go to 7 Eleven store.!!! Where inside the little office!!! Unbelievable.
